Following his military service in World War II, where he served as a naval officer on an LST in the South Pacific, he graduated from Texas Tech University in 1947 with a major in agronomy. Sue was an avid gardener, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

Gilberto Barragan Sr, 90 of Pecos, Tx, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 8, 2022 in Pecos, Tx. Gilberto was born in El Comedor to Pedro and Liberta Barragan on November 30, 1932. He married the love of his life Guadalupe V. Barragan from San Antonio Del Bravo on December 25, 1956 in Los Fresnos, they were married for 57 years.

Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. J.L. Bass and Rev. Steve Carter officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery in Brownfield. "Bill" Lindsey, 93, of Brownfield, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, in Brownfield. Heritage Funeral Home of Monahans is in charge of arrangements. Services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 23, at St. Johns Catholic Church in Monahans with Father John Lucido officiating.
